So, here is our first video where we talk about how it is to use a bike as transportation in a city like Gothemburg (or Göteborg, like the locals call it).
As you may suspect, it's pretty damned nice!
Our idea is to show you guys what urban infrastructure is needed for biking to be nice. So, here we start with the basic: Bikes and pedestrian have preference over cars at marked intersections.
This was filmed in Korsvägen which is considered to be a big traffic intersection in the city. The map in the end of the post shows where I was standing when we shot the video, in relation to the transport hub area. Notice how nice and clear the pedestrian crossings can be seen in the google map!
Bueno, aquí tenemos nuestro primer video sobre cómo es andar en bicicleta en Gotemburgo. Como se lo pueden imaginar, se pedalea muy a gusto.
Nuestra idea es mostrarles cuál es la infrastructura urbana que se necesita para que usar la bicicleta como medio de transporte sea algo agradable. Asi que, aquí empezamos con lo básico: La preferencia la tienen las bicicletas y los peatones (por sobre los autos) en las intersecciones señalizadas.
Éste video fue filmado en Korsvägen, una intersección que se considera dentro de las más transitadas en la ciudad. El mapa al final del post les muestra desde dónde estábamos filmando en relación al paradero. Noten lo claros que se ven los cruces peatonales en el mapa.
