Aqui les va otro proyecto casero. ¿Que se hace con esas poleras (o remeras) que están tan manchadas o llenas de hoyos, que ni la más necesitada de las caridades las va a querer? Pues se tejen.

 

Aqui les mostramos una serie de fotos de cómo cortamos varias poleras (en este caso 6) para hacer un "hilo" para tejer a crochet una alfombra de salida de baño. Nóten en las fotos que tratamos de cortar la polera siguiendo un espiral, para evitar que nuestro hilo quede cortado en varios pedazos distintos. Despues de cortada la polera es recomendable torcer el hilo para que quede más homogeneo y fácil para tejer.

So, here is another home made recycling project. What do you do with those old t-shirts that are so stained or full of holes that no one would want to use them? Well... you knit them.

Here you can see a series of pictures of how we cut up several old t-shirts (6 in this case) to make a thread that we then crocheted into a bathroom floor mat. Please note that we cut the t-shirts following a spiral, in order to make the thread as long as possible, without a lot of sections. After you cut the t-shits it is recommendable to twist the thread to make it more homogeneous.
